On the morning of August 23, the Group Company's 2024 Mid-Year Work Conference was held in the sixth-floor conference room at headquarters. Qu Sichun, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Group Company, chaired the meeting and delivered a keynote speech. Feng Yiyuan, President of the Group Company, presented a summary of the company's performance in the first half of the year. Attendees included all staff from the Group Company headquarters, as well as mid-level and senior personnel from the Engineering Company and its subsidiaries.

On August 21, Song Zhenbo, Member of the Standing Committee and Vice Mayor of Zibo City, led a team to our company for an inspection and guidance session. They took a detailed look at the company's production and operations, directly addressing key needs to help drive business growth. Zhang Ximin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Municipal Government, Zhang Liangyun, Director of the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, along with heads from other relevant departments, also joined the visit. Qu Sixiu, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Group Corporation, accompanied the delegation throughout the调研 (research and investigation).

On the morning of August 15, the Group Company held its 2024 Mid-Year Comprehensive Safety Inspection Summary Meeting. The meeting provided a thorough review of the company's 2024 mid-year safety inspection activities and outlined the next steps for safety management. Qu Sichun, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Group Company, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Safety expert Gong Jianbo, Vice Chairman Sun Bo, President Feng Yiyuan, along with key leaders from each subsidiary and relevant executives, also participated. The meeting was chaired by Li Tiejun, Vice President and Chief Safety Officer of the Group Company.

On August 13, the tail gas and new flare gas hydrogen recovery project for the No. 1 C2 Recovery Unit in the Refining Department of Sinopec Tianjin Branch (hereafter referred to as "Tianjin Petrochemical"), which was wholly contracted by our company under the EPC model, was successfully put into operation on its first attempt.

At 10:00 a.m. on July 5, the groundbreaking ceremony for Sinopec Tianjin Branch's 150,000-ton-per-year sulfur recovery unit and its supporting project was held at the sulfur project construction site of the Refining Department at Tianjin Petrochemical. Attendees included representatives from Sinopec (Tianjin) Petrochemical Co., Ltd.'s Refining Department, Tianjin Shijian Engineering Construction Supervision Co., Ltd., the construction subcontractor Tianjin Jinbin Petrochemical Equipment Co., Ltd., as well as personnel from our company and other related parties.

"Acid Gas Sulfur Recovery and Tail Gas Purification Technology for Ultra-Low Emissions: Achievements and Applications" Passes the Science and Technology Achievement Evaluation by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation

On July 1, 2024, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation organized in Beijing a scientific and technological achievement appraisal meeting for "Ultra-Low Emission Technology and Application for Acid Gas Sulfur Recovery and Tail Gas Purification," jointly completed by our company and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Qu Sixiu, Party Secretary and Chairman of our company, led the delegation to attend the meeting. The appraisal committee unanimously concluded that the achievement as a whole is at an internationally leading level and recommended further promoting the widespread application of this technology.

During the meeting, both sides engaged in an in-depth discussion on project construction and ongoing collaboration. Attendees included Gu Yuanming, Director of the Group Corporation's Comprehensive Management Center; Nie Tao, Deputy General Manager of the Engineering Company; Xin Dongfeng, Manager of the Engineering Management Department at Huajin Amec Petrochemical Co., Ltd.; and Lei Jun, Project Manager of the Fourth Refining Division.

The Group Company launches its 2024 Mid-Year Comprehensive Safety Inspection Campaign.

To ensure robust current safety production efforts, effectively manage risks, eliminate safety hazards, and firmly prevent all types of production-related accidents, the Group Corporation’s President’s Office Meeting has decided to launch a week-long comprehensive mid-year safety inspection campaign for 2024. A kickoff meeting for the mid-year safety inspection was held on July 22nd to deploy and mobilize the safety inspection tasks. Attendees included Qu Siquiu, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Group Corporation; Sun Bo, Vice Chairman; Feng Yiyuan, President; key leaders from each subsidiary company; and members of the inspection team. The meeting was chaired by Li Tiejun, Vice President and Chief Safety Officer of the Group Corporation.

On July 10, the capping ceremony for the cabinet room of the sulfur recovery combined unit project—part of the Northern Huajin Fine Chemicals and Raw Materials Engineering EPC general contracting project undertaken by our company—was successfully completed, marking a significant milestone in the project's progress. Recently, our company received a letter of appreciation from Huajin Aramco Petrochemical Co., Ltd., commending our Northern Huajin Project Team for their proactive and resilient work ethic in tackling challenges head-on, as well as praising Sanwei Chemical's outstanding and highly efficient service approach.
