To set the course for development in the inaugural year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, and systematically map out key priorities for 2026, the Group held its 2025 Work Symposium in Qingdao on December 22, 2025. The symposium was chaired by Feng Yiyuan, President of the Group, and attended by Qu Sichiu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group, who delivered an important speech. The meeting closely focused on the main theme of the company’s high-quality development, further clarifying development goals and building consensus among all employees, thus laying a new blueprint and opening up new pathways for the Group to achieve its three-year development plan targets and carry out all tasks in 2026.
The meeting adhered to a problem-oriented approach. Participants brainstormed around key issues raised by Director Qu, including “How each subsidiary should position itself in the current situation,” “Whether the company’s existing development strategies and practices are suited to the current environment,” “The priority plans for the next phase of work,” and “Issues that require coordination and resolution by the group company.” They delved deeply into the root causes of problems, identified development bottlenecks, and proposed a series of practical and effective improvement ideas and action plans.
Chairman Qu led the participants in revisiting the company’s “Six Modernizations” goals and the analysis of the company’s strengths and weaknesses, as outlined at previous seminars. He emphasized that the global landscape is undergoing profound changes and a new development cycle has already begun. All employees must deeply grasp the core essence of key statements from the Central Economic Work Conference, such as “closely integrating investment in physical assets with investment in human capital, optimizing incremental growth, and revitalizing existing assets.” Chairman Qu conducted an in-depth analysis of the development pressures facing the engineering and industrial sectors, placing particular emphasis on the importance of market expansion, tackling challenging general contracting projects, developing new technologies, and achieving breakthroughs in the production technology of new chemical products. Based on a comprehensive analysis of each subsidiary’s strengths, weaknesses, and development opportunities, he clearly defined the overall work objectives for 2026: earnestly study the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference and seek business opportunities for the 15th Five-Year Plan; recognize the grim situation, unify thinking, and bolster confidence; stabilize the market, manage risks, meticulously cultivate and preserve existing assets, and expand incremental growth both horizontally and vertically; promote group-wide reforms to invigorate organizational vitality; intensify continuous innovation, accelerate the building of capability systems, consolidate the foundation, foster integrated development, enhance quality and efficiency, ensure the company’s sustainable development, and strive to achieve the three-year development goals. The guiding principles for 2026 have been set as “optimize existing assets, expand capacity, improve quality, boost efficiency, and drive innovative integration,” with the key words being “improve quality, achieve breakthroughs, integrate, and create value.” Using allegorical stories, Chairman Qu underscored the critical significance of “time waits for no one” for the company’s development, urging all levels of the company to maintain clear thinking and accelerate their shift in mindset in response to market changes. Heads of each subsidiary were instructed to accurately assess development trends, strengthen team building, efficiently integrate resources, and truly shoulder their responsibilities for driving development.
Executives of the group company, chief experts, chief scientists, mid-level managers of the group company, and some senior executives from various subsidiaries attended the meeting.
