The Huajin–Aramco Fine Chemicals and Feedstock Project serves as a key platform for the comprehensive strategic cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia. The sulfur recovery units and other major facilities that have now been successfully handed over represent the first batch of core EPC-contracted installations under this project. As the largest EPC turnkey project in SUNWAY Chemical’s history in terms of contract value, the construction of the sulfur recovery and related units has been met with high expectations from all stakeholders since the official commencement on December 24, 2023. The SUNWAY Chemical Sulfur Recovery Project Team has risen to the challenge, making “ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality” the guiding principles for the project. To this end, it has established a dedicated task force to tackle complex technical and construction challenges, fully leveraging the company’s strengths in EPC project management. In the face of numerous technical bottlenecks and construction difficulties that arose during the project, the team has demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility and mission, employing rigorous, science-based planning to resolve organizational challenges and harnessing technological innovation to overcome barriers in process design. With close collaboration and efficient coordination among all participating contractors, the team has successfully completed an enormous volume of construction tasks. Throughout the project, the team has maintained stringent quality control standards, implementing a multi-tiered quality acceptance system and exercising comprehensive, multidimensional oversight over every stage of construction. All quality indicators have significantly exceeded the contractual requirements, thereby delivering tangible results that honor the client’s expectations and underscore SUNWAY Chemical’s robust engineering capabilities and its commitment to excellence and meticulous craftsmanship.
