On November 20, to effectively enhance the Group and its subsidiaries’ capabilities in the utilization, protection, and management of intellectual property rights, strengthen awareness of commercial protection and build barriers around core technologies, and effectively prevent and address intellectual property risks while safeguarding the innovative achievements of the Group and its subsidiaries, the Group’s Securities and Legal Department organized a training and exchange event on intellectual property rights for the Group.

This training session featured professional instructors from Qingdao Fasite Patent & Trademark Agency Co., Ltd. The instructors focused on two key themes—“Intellectual Property Protection and Patent Mining” and “Trademark Strategy and Risk Prevention”—and, taking into account the petrochemical industry’s characteristics of technology intensity, long innovation cycles, and hidden risks of infringement, provided a comprehensive and in-depth explanation covering everything from high-level strategic planning for intellectual property layout and critical control points during the application process to effective response strategies in the event of intellectual property disputes. Leaders and staff from the group company and its subsidiaries—including departments responsible for patents and trademarks, marketing departments, project execution centers of engineering companies, and integrated management (corporate communications) departments—participated in the training and exchange. They listened attentively, actively engaged in interactive discussions, and consulted with the trainers to seek clarifications and advice tailored to their specific work situations.
The successful conclusion of this intellectual property training and exchange event has not only provided a professional platform for systematic learning and in-depth exchanges for relevant personnel from the Group and its subsidiaries, but has also effectively filled gaps in intellectual property awareness and further fostered a shared understanding on the importance of intellectual property protection. Participants unanimously expressed that the training content was highly targeted and instructive. They pledged to flexibly apply the knowledge gained in their daily work—including patent exploration, trademark strategy development, and risk management—to truly transform the outcomes of the training into practical capabilities for safeguarding innovation and mitigating risks.
Taking this training as an opportunity, the company will continue to focus on key areas and weak links in intellectual property management, constantly improving the regular training and exchange mechanism. Through various approaches such as case sharing and specialized seminars, we will continuously strengthen all employees’ awareness of intellectual property protection, promote the standardization, refinement, and professionalization of intellectual property management across the group and its subsidiaries, and build a robust “firewall” of intellectual property rights to support the group’s core technology innovation and enhance its market competitiveness, thereby providing solid guarantees for the company’s high-quality development.
